Boot Review

This is a pair of Cabelas Uninsulated Upland Kangaroo Boots after wearing them for almost a whole season of Pheasant hunting through rough NEBRASKA CRP-MAP and Iowa public hunting grounds et al.  Approx 70-ish days in the field.

They are totaled.  In Cabela`s defense (and I love this company), upon going to their LaVista Ne location they offered to issue me a new pair, right off of my feet.  (I had previously ordered them online months before).  Unfortunately they did`nt have my size at the time.  As always, good service.

I would write a scathing review of these boots had Cabela`s not made good by their products, but I wont because they always do and that is why I keep going back and constantly keep scanning their web site and catalogues for something new.  I have my whole life, and Cabela`s is certanly part of my growing up.  I think I can speak for us all when I say it`s nice to get a new Cabela`s catalogue in the mail.

The fact remains that these boots are really comfortable and light.  Tho NEVER waterproof as advertised (arrgh!!).  I only wish my pair had held up to the likes of this hunting season because now they are very much broken in, and so comfortable to wear.  I almost hate to give them up but they are totally wrecked and are cold and wet, infinitely.

My personal demise now is to get another new pair and start all over again.  I hope the flaws in my last pair are not an issue with my new pair, as last 2010 season and all of the hunting memories that it holds will be stuck in my head forever.  I`d like to keep a faithful pair of boots waiting by my shotgun come the next opening day for good luck.  I guess Ill start over with a reissued pair.  Not bitter, but hopeful.
