-This is part of the BIG BIG field I hunt regularly.  This is only one side of it.  Many draws and hills to walk.  It was snowing and blowing today.  The lens I used for this shot does`nt really show that.  We tracked a few Pheasant through it.  Snow covers about 2" of the tall prarie grass.  I think this new fallen snow has been tricking my 8 month old GSP, Darlin`.  This is her first experience with snow.  She gets birdy and then blinks off, after meticulously checking out all the patches around her point.

I respect the old roosters.  If it werent for them we would`nt be able to come back next year.

If you like this blog and have`nt yet, join Pheasants Forever.

Best,

AP
